With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, he holds an MMath in cryptography and a PhD in Information Security from the University of Waterloo and Royal Holloway University of London, respectively. As Vice President of Samsung SDS, he has led security and privacy research, including privacy-enhancing cryptography (e.g. FHE, MPC, PSI) and other security technologies. He has extensive knowledge and experience in standardization and related projects, having worked as an editor of a project for data aggregation frameworks using FHE in ITU-T, and currently working as an editor for FHE and MPC projects in ISO/IEC. He is also participating in NIST’s project, Migration to post-quantum cryptography, to provide appropriate architecture and best practices, which necessitates a thorough comprehension of cybersecurity concerns in Enterprise IT.
