Director
UN University Center for Policy Research
Dr David Passarelli is Director of United Nation University’s Center for Policy Research (UNU-CPR) which is co-located in New York and Geneva. He has overall responsibility for the direction and administration of the Centre’s research and policy advisory activities.
At UNU-CPR, his research concentrates on global governance, data governance, sustainable finance, and global economic cooperation. Between 2022-2023, he led the Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism (HLAB).
Dr Passarelli concurrently serves as UN University’s representative to the UN High-Level Committee on Programmes (HLCP) and sherpa to the Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB). His work has been supported by grants from numerous governments, philanthropies, and UN system entities. He holds a Doctorate in International Development from the University of Oxford.
