Dr. Piyanuch Wuttisorn graduated with a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Sydney, Australia. She has experience from her tenure in various government agencies. This includes the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), and ever serving as the Secretary-General of the National Digital Economy and Society Committee

While Dr. Piyanuch be appointed as Director-General, she emphasized the importance of integrating government data. She supported the creation of the Government Data Catalog platform to enable all government agencies to use it as a tool for systematic agency data management and encouraged the standardization of data integration and sharing across government platforms. She further encouraged government agencies to adopt Data Governance for Government principles to ensure data quality, security, and privacy before integrating it into the Government Data Catalog, The Director-General of TNSO serves as the Data Registrar, responsible for verifying and certifying the accuracy and official status of datasets registered in the catalog.
